Dr Ishani Saraswat

Dr Ishani Saraswat is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients across all stages of life. With a clinical approach focused on holistic wellbeing, she emphasises the importance of preventative medicine and patient-centred care. Her clinical interests span a broad range of General Practice, with a particular focus on women's health, obstetrics, and musculoskeletal medicine. Having worked extensively in major metropolitan hospitals, including specialised emergency departments, geriatric medicine, and paediatric medicine, she brings a wealth of diverse clinical experience to her practice. Dr Saraswat is highly skilled in pre-pregnancy planning, pregnancy support, and the management of perimenopause and menopause. Additionally, she is experienced in performing specific clinical procedures, such as the insertion and removal of contraceptive rods and the removal of intrauterine devices.

Dr Saraswat completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy with Honours at the University of Sydney, working as a Physiotherapist before pursuing her medical career. She subsequently obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Deakin University, qualifying in 2011. To further her expertise in women's health, she earned a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Dr Saraswat is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence in General Practice.
