Dr Irfana Sohail

Dr Irfana Sohail is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred medical care. Dr Sohail completed her initial medical training in Pakistan, where she obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). After relocating to Australia, she undertook hospital-based training across several key medical disciplines, including emergency medicine, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) medicine, and obstetrics and gynaecology. She subsequently completed her rural General Practice training in regional New South Wales, qualifying in 2021. Dr Sohail is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds post-graduate diplomas in both paediatrics (Diploma in Child Health) and obstetrics and gynaecology (Diplomate of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists).

In her daily practice, Dr Sohail specialises in a wide range of medical services, with a particular interest in women's health and paediatric care. Her expertise in women's health encompasses antenatal care, pregnancy shared care, menopause management, cervical screening, and contraceptive advice, including the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices such as Implanon and Mirena. Additionally, she is highly skilled in skin health, offering comprehensive skin checks, biopsies, and minor surgical procedures for skin lesion removal. Her practice also covers chronic disease management, preventative medicine, and general clinical procedures such as iron infusions.
