Dr Irene Stevenson is a highly regarded Consultant Cardiologist and Arrhythmia Specialist who has dedicated her career to the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm disorders. With a clinical focus on electrophysiology, she specialises in the implantation and management of cardiac devices, helping patients achieve optimal heart health and improved quality of life. Her reassuring and patient-centred approach ensures that individuals receive comprehensive, tailored care for their specific cardiac needs.

As a leading Electrophysiologist, Dr Stevenson possesses extensive expertise in pacemakers, including advanced leadless options, as well as transvenous, subcutaneous, and extra-vascular defibrillators. She is particularly passionate about conduction system pacing, a technique that utilises the heart's natural electrical pathways, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy. Additionally, she has a keen interest in adult congenital heart disease and utilising modern remote monitoring technologies to streamline and enhance ongoing patient care.

Dr Stevenson completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne. She went on to complete her specialist training as a Cardiologist and a dedicated clinical fellowship year as an Electrophysiologist at prominent Australian teaching hospitals. To further her expertise, she also undertook a higher research degree focusing on cardiac rhythm management.
