Dr Ingrid Hutton

Dr Ingrid Hutton is a highly dedicated Consultant Rheumatologist who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions. With a patient-centred approach, she focuses on delivering accurate diagnoses and personalised treatment plans to help individuals manage chronic pain and improve their overall quality of life. Her clinical practice encompasses the investigation and management of complex inflammatory joint disorders, ensuring that each patient receives tailored, compassionate care.

Dr Hutton obtained her medical degree, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, from the University of Otago in 1999. Following her initial medical training, she completed extensive postgraduate specialist training in rheumatology, culminating in her admission as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Her strong academic foundation and commitment to professional development ensure she remains at the forefront of modern rheumatological advancements.

Throughout her career, Dr Hutton has developed a particular interest in inflammatory joint diseases, including gout, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. She has contributed to clinical research in these areas, with published work focusing on the factors associated with recurrent hospital admissions for gout flares.
