Dr Ilan Rauchberger

Dr Ilan Rauchberger is a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive psychiatric care for adult patients. With a clinical approach that is collaborative, holistic, and patient-centred, he focuses on empowering individuals to manage their mental health difficulties and improve their overall daily functioning. Dr Rauchberger is dedicated to creating a supportive and reassuring environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and exploring tailored treatment options.

His clinical expertise spans a wide range of general adult psychiatric conditions. Dr Rauchberger has a particular interest in the assessment and management of mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, as well as anxiety disorders and adjustment disorders. Additionally, his practice encompasses the treatment of psychosis, trauma and stress-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and personality disorders. He is also highly regarded for his work in occupational psychiatry and independent medico-legal assessments, providing expert opinions on complex cases.

Dr Rauchberger completed his undergraduate medical training at Monash University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours, and a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours. He subsequently obtained a Master of Psychiatry from the University of Melbourne and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2009. Alongside his clinical practice, he is actively involved in medical education and academic mentorship, holding appointments as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Swinburne University and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer (Practice) at Monash University.
