Dr Ihsaan Peer

Dr Ihsaan Peer is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-centred care to individuals of all ages. With a strong passion for promoting wellness and preventive healthcare, Dr Peer works closely with his patients to support them in achieving their optimal health outcomes. Dr Peer obtained his primary medical degree, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), in South Africa. He subsequently relocated to Canada, where he undertook advanced specialist training in Family Medicine and achieved Certification in the College of Family Physicians (CCFP). Upon moving to Australia, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Peer is deeply involved in medical education, contributing to the University of Queensland medical student teaching curriculum and serving as a Clinical Examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Throughout his career, Dr Peer has developed a broad range of clinical interests within General Practice. He is particularly passionate about preventive medicine, lifestyle stratification, and helping patients achieve their weight loss and management goals. His expertise also encompasses men's health, sexual health, and both prenatal and postnatal care.
