Dr Heather Carcary is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Having grown up on a dairy farm in a small town in far North Queensland, she developed a deep appreciation for community-focused healthcare early in life. Dr Carcary is committed to delivering high-quality medical care to individuals and families, ensuring that every patient receives personalised attention tailored to their unique health needs.

With a strong background in both emergency medicine and family practice, Dr Carcary brings a wealth of clinical expertise to her role. She previously gained extensive experience working in a regional hospital emergency department in Queensland before transitioning to general practice. Her clinical interests are broad, with a particular passion for women's health, family medicine, and chronic disease management. She is also highly skilled in providing immunisations, travel medicine advice, and performing minor procedures such as Implanon insertions and removals.

Dr Carcary completed her medical training at James Cook University in Townsville, an institution renowned for its focus on rural and regional health, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2009. Demonstrating her commitment to advanced training and high standards of care, she has also achieved Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
