Dr Harish Aikot

Dr. Harish Aikot is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist based in Toowoomba, Queensland. He has a particular interest in diagnostic cardiology, including coronary angiograms, coronary angioplasty, and non-invasive tests such as echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter tests, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Additionally, Dr. Aikot is experienced in performing pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) implantations, as well as device closures for adult congenital heart disease.

Dr. Aikot completed his medical studies and advanced cardiology training at the University of Mumbai, along with training at Grant Medical College and JJ Hospital in Mumbai. He then moved to Australia to undertake a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. After completing his fellowship, he began consulting as a Cardiologist at St John of God Hospital (Bendigo), St Vincent’s and Mercy Private Hospitals (Melbourne).

Dr. Aikot has also worked internationally in India, where he served as an Interventional Cardiologist at Sahakaraana Hrudayalaya Pariyaram and Metro International Cardiac Centre in Calicut. He returned to Australia and has been consulting at St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital for over six years, providing expert care to patients in the region.
