Dr Georgina Alexander

Dr Georgina Alexander is a highly dedicated General Practitioner and General Paediatrician who provides comprehensive care for children from infancy through to adolescence. With a clinical approach centred on the family, Dr Alexander is passionate about fostering respectful, collaborative partnerships with patients, their families, and the broader healthcare team. She is committed to delivering reassuring and high-quality care, managing a diverse range of acute and chronic medical conditions alongside developmental and behavioural concerns.

Dr Alexander completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania. She subsequently undertook extensive postgraduate training, obtaining a Diploma in Child Health and achieving dual specialist qualifications. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Her advanced clinical training was completed across Tasmania and at a leading paediatric hospital in Melbourne, where she gained specialised experience in acute general paediatrics, paediatric intensive care, adolescent and young adult medicine, and the care of vulnerable young people.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Alexander contributes significantly to the medical community through education and hospital-based care. She holds an academic appointment with a prominent Tasmanian medical school and regularly teaches advanced paediatric life support courses across Australia. She also works as a Visiting Medical Specialist at a major public hospital, caring for children in both inpatient wards and outpatient clinics, and is part of a dedicated team providing specialised care for newborns at a local private hospital.
