Dr Georgia Harris

Dr Georgia Harris is a highly dedicated Radiation Oncologist who specialises in the treatment of solid tumour malignancies. With a primary clinical focus on breast cancer, she is deeply committed to delivering patient-centred care that is tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Dr Harris works collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated treatment plans, utilising advanced technical innovations in radiotherapy to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.

In addition to her expertise in breast tumours, Dr Harris has a keen clinical interest in neurological malignancies, central nervous system (CNS) tumours, and metastatic disease. She is highly proficient in delivering advanced treatment techniques, including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). Dr Harris is also passionate about palliative radiotherapy, aiming to improve the quality of life for patients with advanced cancers. Her commitment to advancing the field of oncology is reflected in her active involvement in clinical trials and her leadership roles in national cancer care initiatives, where she contributes to the development of clinical practice guidelines.

Dr Harris completed her medical education at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 2009, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science (Advanced). She also holds a Master of Public Health. Dr Harris undertook her specialist training in Radiation Oncology at a major teaching hospital in Sydney, followed by a prestigious post-graduate fellowship at a world-renowned cancer centre in Toronto, Canada. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. Additionally, she serves as a Clinical Senior Lecturer and works as an Examiner for the professional college. Her professional affiliations include memberships with the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group, the Australasian Society for Breast Disease, the Breast Cancer Trials group, and the American Society for Radiation Oncology.
