Dr Gemma Rosanne Urch

Dr Gemma Rosanne Urch is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing thorough, evidence-based care. With a strong focus on patient-centred health goals, she works collaboratively with her patients to prevent illness and promote long-term wellbeing. Dr Urch is known for her reassuring approach and her emphasis on the emotional and physical wellbeing of those under her care, ensuring that every patient feels supported throughout their healthcare journey.

Dr Urch began her academic journey at the University of Melbourne, where she completed a Bachelor of Science. She then went on to study medicine, qualifying with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Deakin University in 2014. Following her graduation, she gained diverse clinical experience working across various medical specialities in hospitals throughout Victoria, Queensland, and New South Wales. Dr Urch completed her specialist General Practice training in Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Demonstrating her leadership and commitment to the medical community, she serves as the Chair of the New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory New Fellows Committee for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and was honoured with the prestigious Eric Fisher Award.

In her clinical practice, Dr Urch has developed a wide range of special interests to meet the diverse needs of her patients. She is highly experienced in Women's Health, Antenatal Shared Care, Fertility and Family Planning, and Child Health. Additionally, she has a strong interest in Skin Cancer Medicine and is passionate about providing inclusive healthcare, particularly in LGBTIA+ Health. Dr Urch is experienced in delivering gender-affirming care and supporting gender-diverse individuals with all aspects of their health and wellbeing.
