Dr Francesca Nancy Burge

Dr Francesca Nancy Burge, widely known to her patients as Dr Nancy Burge, is a dedicated and highly compassionate General Practitioner. She is committed to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to individuals and families, ensuring that every patient feels heard, respected, and supported. With a broad scope of practice, Dr Nancy Burge enjoys the diversity of general medicine and is passionate about keeping pace with the latest clinical developments to deliver the highest standard of healthcare. Dr Nancy Burge obtained her medical degree from University College, London, graduating in 1982. Following her initial training, she gained valuable clinical experience working in England before relocating to Scotland, where she spent a significant period practising remote and rural medicine on the Isle of Skye. After moving to Australia in 2015, she achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Her professional qualifications also include a Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) and membership with the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). Additionally, she is an active member of the Australasian Menopause Society and contributes to the future of the profession by supervising medical students and training General Practitioners.

Throughout her career, Dr Nancy Burge has developed diverse clinical interests, with a strong focus on women's health, sexual health, and chronic disease management. She provides expert guidance on peri-menopause and menopause management, contraception counselling, and the insertion and removal of long-acting contraceptive devices. Her expertise also extends to skin cancer medicine, including the diagnosis, management, and surgical excision of skin lesions. Furthermore, she offers aesthetic medicine treatments such as cosmetic injectables and skin rejuvenation therapies. Dr Nancy Burge is also a trained provider of consultations regarding Voluntary Assisted Dying, supporting eligible patients with compassionate end-of-life options.
