About Dr Fatemeh Rezania

Dr Fatemeh Rezania is a Neurologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist with specialist expertise in neuromuscular disorders. She completed her neurology training at St Vincent’s Hospital, University Hospital Geelong and Western Health, followed by a dedicated fellowship in neuromuscular medicine and neurophysiology at St Vincent’s Hospital. She now holds consultant appointments at both St Vincent’s Hospital and University Hospital Geelong, where she provides expert care in the diagnosis and management of complex neurological and neuromuscular conditions.

Dr Rezania is committed to academic medicine, combining clinical practice with active involvement in teaching and research. She is an affiliate senior lecturer at the Deakin University School of Medicine and a current PhD candidate at The University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on innovative methods for examining patients with peripheral neuropathies, neuromuscular junction disorders and other neuromuscular conditions, with the aim of improving diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.

In her clinical role, Dr Rezania performs a wide range of electrophysiological assessments, including nerve conduction studies and electromyography (EMG), providing essential diagnostic insights for patients with nerve and muscle disorders. She is recognised for her thorough, patient-centred approach and her commitment to advancing neurological care through both clinical excellence and scientific inquiry.
