Dr Els Joossens is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Dr Joossens has developed a diverse practice that addresses a wide range of healthcare needs, ensuring that individuals and families receive the highest standard of support.

While maintaining a strong foundation in general medicine, Dr Joossens has a particular interest in skin cancer medicine and general dermatology. She is highly experienced in conducting thorough skin checks, diagnosing skin lesions, and performing minor surgical procedures, including skin cancer surgery. Beyond her dermatological expertise, her clinical interests encompass orthopaedics, paediatrics, women's health, and oncology, allowing her to offer holistic care to patients at all stages of life.

Dr Joossens completed her medical degrees at the University of Antwerp in Belgium, qualifying with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1996. Committed to continuous professional development, she obtained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017. She has also completed extensive postgraduate training, including an Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery, a Professional Certificate of Dermoscopy, and professional certificates in general dermatology and skin cancer medicine. To further enhance her expertise, she has pursued a master's degree in Skin Cancer Medicine at the University of Queensland.
