Dr Elke Pitters

Dr Elke Pitters is a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Paediatrician who provides comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she is committed to supporting families through every stage of their child's growth and development. Dr Pitters specialises in general paediatrics, managing a wide range of acute and chronic childhood conditions, and works collaboratively with families to ensure the best possible health outcomes for her young patients.

Dr Pitters obtained her medical degree in Germany at the Christian Albrecht University Kiel in 2005. After migrating to Australia, she completed her internship at a regional hospital in Tasmania and served as a Resident Medical Officer at a health service in Victoria. She undertook extensive specialist training as a Paediatrician at a major children's hospital in Sydney, followed by advanced training as a Provisional Fellow at a prominent tertiary hospital in Sydney. She was subsequently awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Demonstrating her commitment to holistic care, she also completed a Diploma in Palliative Care.

In her clinical practice, Dr Pitters has developed a strong focus on paediatric complex care and paediatric palliative care. She is highly skilled in managing developmental and behavioural concerns, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Additionally, she provides expert care for neonates and offers comprehensive follow-up assessments for babies after birth, ensuring that newborns and their families receive the essential support and guidance they need during the critical early stages of life.
