Dr Eileen Rafter is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who brings a wealth of international experience to her medical practice. With a diverse background that spans multiple continents, she is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Dr Rafter completed her medical degree at the prestigious University of Edinburgh. Following her graduation, she undertook extensive General Practice training across various regions in England and Scotland. Her early medical career provided her with invaluable global perspectives, during which she gained diverse clinical experience working in Honduras, South Africa, and Liverpool, before eventually establishing her practice in Cairns, Australia.

Throughout her career, Dr Rafter has developed a strong professional interest in Indigenous health and women's health. She is particularly passionate about antenatal and post-natal care, providing dedicated support and clinical management for high-risk expectant mothers. Her expertise also encompasses family planning, including conception and fertility advice, birth control, and the administration of IUD contraception.
