Dr Edward David Siddens

Dr Edward Siddens is a dedicated General Practitioner who provides a comprehensive range of primary healthcare services. With a strong foundation in both acute and chronic disease management, he is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. His clinical approach is characterised by a reassuring and professional manner, ensuring that patients of all ages feel supported throughout their healthcare journey. Dr Siddens has a particular interest in preventative medicine, sports medicine, and mental health care, alongside managing chronic conditions to improve his patients' long-term well-being.

In addition to his core general practice services, Dr Siddens possesses extensive experience in surgery, having spent a significant portion of his hospital career focusing on General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Orthopaedics. This background has fostered a keen interest in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery. He is highly proficient in the dermoscopic diagnosis of skin cancer conditions and is skilled in performing various surgical procedures, ranging from simple biopsies to complex excisions requiring skin grafts or flaps. His expertise also extends to paediatric medicine, women's health, and ante-natal shared care.

Dr Siddens completed his medical training at Trinity College, University of Dublin, qualifying in 2012 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor in the Art of Obstetrics (MB BCh BAO). After completing his internship in Ireland, he relocated to Australia, where he gained diverse clinical experience across metropolitan and rural hospital settings, including emergency and general medicine. He completed his postgraduate General Practice training and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). To further his expertise in skin health, he has also obtained a Certificate in Dermoscopy and a Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine from the Skin Cancer College of Australia.
