Dr Despina Pytharoulios

Dr Despina Pytharoulios is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families. Known for her calm and approachable manner, she enjoys the diverse nature of general medicine and is committed to helping patients achieve optimal health outcomes. Her holistic approach ensures that each patient receives personalised attention tailored to their unique healthcare needs.

Dr Pytharoulios completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Monash University. She subsequently gained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1996. Committed to continuous professional development, she holds a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, as well as a Master of Health and Human Services. Additionally, she completed further postgraduate training at a leading children's hospital, earning certificates in both Allergy and Eczema, and obtained a certificate in Occupational Medicine in 2012.

With a broad range of clinical expertise, Dr Pytharoulios has a particular interest in women's health, paediatrics, and the diagnosis and management of asthma. Her additional training allows her to confidently manage paediatric allergies and skin conditions such as eczema. She is also highly skilled in occupational medicine, supporting patients with work-related health and safety matters.
