About Dr David Wetherell
Dr. David Wetherell is a Urologist in Melbourne, Australia specialising the diagnosis and managment of prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer as well as kidney stones, benign prostatic enlargement and general urology.
He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and has completed an advanced pelvic uro-onoclogy robotic fellowship in University College Hospital (UCH), London UK where he specialised in an innovative technique Retzius Sparing Robotic Radical Prostatectomy. He also has a specilist interest in Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HOLEP) for benign prostatic enlargement.
Dr. Wetherell's research interests extend to biology of resistance mechanisms of prostate cancer as well as clinical research in all fields of urology.

Dr Wetherell was very polite and helpful with his advice and inspired confidence.
David has excellent surgical skill. I did not need pain killers after the operations, and my recovery was fast and notisible. The incontinence that was expected as a result of the operation was minimal.
I was very happy with everything. Good to keep patients up to date on delays for surgery.Good to keep patient informed about procedure.

I could not be happier with Dr David Wetherell. From major surgery & making me cancer free to checking in on me during recovery. He went out of his way to visit me when I had two appointments with two different practitioners at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. He came & check on me to make sure I was doing OK. He told me if ever I had any problems to just give him a call. He supplied nothing but five star service from doing my operation to recovery & beyond. I would definitely recommend him as a surgeon who is thorough & very caring.
