Dr Flynn completed his medical education at the University of Western Australia, graduating with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1983. To further enhance his clinical skills, he obtained a Diploma of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Following his graduation, he undertook extensive hospital-based training, gaining valuable clinical experience across various medical disciplines, including renal, cardiac, respiratory, emergency medicine, surgery, and paediatrics.
