Dr David Hogan

Dr David Hogan is a highly qualified and compassionate Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon and Otolaryngologist who provides comprehensive care for both adult and paediatric patients. As a dedicated Medical Specialist, he is committed to helping individuals navigate their healthcare journeys with clarity and confidence. He understands the profound impact that ear, nose, and throat conditions can have on daily life, particularly for families, and strives to deliver reassuring, high-quality care that helps patients return to optimal health.

His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of general ENT services, with a particular interest in paediatric ENT and head and neck surgical oncology. Dr Hogan is highly skilled in managing complex conditions of the ears, nose, and throat, including functional nasal surgery, ear reconstruction, and thyroid surgery. He also serves as the Chair of a multidisciplinary head and neck cancer team, demonstrating his commitment to collaborative, cutting-edge oncology care. Additionally, his background in health professions education allows him to effectively communicate complex medical concepts to his patients, ensuring they are fully informed and empowered throughout their treatment. He has previously served as an Acting Director of a major public ENT department and continues to contribute to medical education as a Faculty Member.

Dr Hogan began his academic journey at the University of Queensland, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in 2001 and subsequently earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2006. He undertook advanced surgical training in Queensland and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in February 2015. Following this, he completed advanced sub-specialist fellowship training in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology in Dublin, Ireland, where he also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Profession's Education. Dr Hogan maintains active professional memberships as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.
