Mr Damien Phillips

Dr Damien Phillips is an Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgeon with extensive training and a specific interest in a wide spectrum of adult and paediatric ENT conditions.

He works at St Vincent's Private Hospital in East Melbourne and Warringal Private Hospital in Heidelberg. He also consults privately in North Fitzroy, Parkville (next to Royal Children's Hospital), and Heidelberg Heights.

He holds public appointments at both the Royal Children's Hospital and the Austin Hospital.

Dr Phillips has a particular interest in Paediatric ENT problems, such as hearing loss, speech delay, and glue ear, as well as treatments for snoring and sleep apnea in children and adults.

He gained his science degree at Monash University and obtained his postgraduate medical degree from the University of Queensland. He then undertook further surgical training in Ear, Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Surgery, and in 2010, he was awarded a fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).

He then completed a specialised Clinical Fellowship at St Georges Hospital in London, England, and gained further expertise in Paediatric ENT as a visiting fellow at world-renowned institutions such as Great Ormond Street in London, UK, and Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Ohio, USA.

Dr Phillips is committed to training and mentoring junior doctors. He is the Surgical Training Supervisor for Paediatric ENT, Otolaryngology, and Head & Neck Surgery at Royal Children's Hospital. He has also written articles and given talks at national and international conferences and seminars.
