Dr Daad Kafi

Dr Daad Kafi is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families in the Geelong and Bellarine region. With a compassionate and reassuring approach, she is committed to supporting her patients through all stages of life. Dr Kafi focuses on delivering evidence-based medical care that is tailored to the unique needs of each individual, ensuring they feel heard and supported during their consultations.

Dr Kafi completed her medical education at the University of Baghdad, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 1985. To further her professional development and maintain the highest standards of clinical practice, she obtained a Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Additionally, she is an active member of the Iraqi Australasian Medical Association, which allows her to stay connected with a broad network of medical professionals and keep abreast of the latest advancements in healthcare.

Throughout her career, Dr Kafi has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on Women's Health and Children's Health. Her practice encompasses a wide array of services, including general health screenings, mental health care plans, and support for anxiety, depression, and work-related stress. She is also highly proficient in conducting pre-employment medicals, WorkCover assessments, and return-to-work planning. Beyond general consultations, Dr Kafi performs minor skin procedures and administers vaccinations, providing a holistic approach to preventative and therapeutic medicine.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Kafi is bilingual and is fluent in both English and Arabic, enabling her to effectively communicate with and support patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Outside of her medical practice, she enjoys engaging with literature and listening to classical music, pursuits that complement her holistic approach to well-being and patient care.
