Dr Lakoumentas completed his Bachelor of Science in 1988 before going on to acquire his Bachelor of Dental Science in 1991. To further expand his clinical capabilities, he has undertaken advanced training in implantology and is a certified provider of mini implant (keyhole) surgery. He is also an active member of the Australasian Society for Conservative Implant Dentistry, reflecting his commitment to conservative and minimally invasive treatment options.

Throughout his career, Dr Lakoumentas has developed a broad range of clinical interests, spanning general, cosmetic, and surgical dentistry. He is particularly skilled in orthodontics for both children and adults, as well as complex surgical procedures such as the removal of wisdom teeth and the exposure of impacted teeth.
