Dr Christopher Woodgate

Dr Christopher Woodgate is a highly dedicated Pain Medicine Specialist and Rehabilitation Specialist who is deeply committed to improving the quality of life for individuals experiencing persistent pain. His clinical practice encompasses a wide range of areas, with a particular interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and the prevention of acute pain transitioning into persistent, long-term pain. Dr Woodgate utilises a variety of evidence-based strategies, including multidisciplinary programme-based techniques and advanced interventional procedures, to help patients regain function and maximise their independence. Dr Woodgate completed his Bachelor of Medical Science and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Tasmania in 2008. He subsequently undertook extensive postgraduate training, qualifying as a Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine in 2015 and completing further specialised training as a Pain Medicine Specialist in 2017. He holds fellowships with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. Additionally, he maintains active professional memberships with the Spinal Interventional Society and the Australian Pain Society.
