Dr Christine Shih

Dr Christine Shih is a General Practitioner practising at Market Street Medical Practice in Brisbane, Queensland. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2001 and has extensive experience in general practice, with particular expertise in women's health, reproductive health, and preventative medicine.

Dr Shih gained experience in women's health through work at specialist tertiary centres including Mercy Hospital for Women and the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne. She has also worked with Family Planning Victoria and completed additional postgraduate training in reproductive and sexual health.

Her clinical interests include women's health, family planning, contraception, sexual health, infertility, endometriosis, antenatal care, antenatal shared care, pregnancy care, early pregnancy complications, cervical screening, gynaecology, and reproductive medicine. She also has experience in weight management, having worked for many years at The Wesley Weight Management Clinic.

In addition, Dr Shih provides preventative healthcare, chronic disease management, men's health services, paediatric care, immunisations, travel medicine, ear syringing, and the management of a wide range of general medical conditions. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
