Dr Chris Pocklington

Dr Chris Pocklington is a highly qualified Specialist Podiatric Surgeon and Sports Podiatrist who is dedicated to restoring mobility and function for his patients. Holding dual registration, he is uniquely positioned to offer both advanced surgical and conservative solutions for a diverse range of foot and ankle conditions. Dr Pocklington adopts a compassionate and diligent approach to patient care, ensuring that each individual receives a tailored treatment plan designed to help them get back on their feet. His clinical focus spans sports injuries, biomechanics, and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle.

Dr Pocklington completed his academic training at the University of Western Australia, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine in 2012. He subsequently completed an internship focusing on the management of the high-risk foot, before obtaining a Doctorate of Clinical Podiatry from the same institution in 2017 to secure his specialist registration as a Podiatric Surgeon. He is a Fellow of the Australian Association of Podiatric Surgeons and a Fellow of the Australian College of Podiatric Surgeons. To further refine his surgical skills, Dr Pocklington undertook extensive specialist training in modern procedures and minimally invasive techniques across Canada and the United States.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Pocklington is committed to advancing the field of podiatry through education. He holds an academic position as a Senior Lecturer, where he is actively involved in training and mentoring the next generation of Podiatric Surgeons. Outside of his professional life, he is a keen athlete and former Australian rules football player. He enjoys maintaining a healthy balance of social, academic, and outdoor interests, which enhances his understanding of the physical demands placed on his patients' feet and ankles.
