Dr Chima Achara

Dr Chima Achara is a dedicated and highly qualified General Practitioner who brings a wealth of diverse medical experience to his patients. He began his professional journey in the healthcare sector with a career as a Pharmacist, which provided him with a deep understanding of therapeutics and pharmacology. Transitioning to clinical medicine, Dr Achara qualified as a Medical Doctor in the United Kingdom, where he completed intensive rotations in busy inner London hospitals. During this time, he gained invaluable experience in high-pressure environments, particularly within Accident and Emergency departments and sexual health clinics.

Throughout his career, Dr Achara has developed a strong passion for managing the diverse and complex challenges of general practice. He has a proven track record of working in large, busy practices, including historically caring for a patient population of 30,000 individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. This extensive experience has shaped his patient-centred approach, allowing him to deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive, and comprehensive care to individuals and families from all walks of life.

Dr Achara holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). His academic and professional credentials also include a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm), a Clinical Diploma in Therapeutics, and specialised training in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH). Additionally, he has successfully completed the Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) and Clinical Skills Assessment (CSA) in the United Kingdom, and holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Paediatric Basic Life Support (PBLS).
