Dr Chik Chua

Dr Chik Chua is a dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, family-centred care to patients across all generations. Originally from Malaysia, Dr Chua moved to Australia to pursue his medical career. He is deeply committed to building long-term relationships with his patients, offering continuity of care that often spans multiple generations of the same family. His approach to medicine is holistic and compassionate, ensuring that each patient receives personalised attention tailored to their unique history and healthcare needs.

Throughout his career, Dr Chua has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. He initially focused on acute paediatric care, which gave him a strong foundation in managing the health of infants, children, and adolescents. Over time, he expanded his practice to encompass family medicine, aged care, and palliative care. This breadth of interest reflects his commitment to whole-of-life healthcare, supporting patients from infancy through to their senior years with empathy and professional expertise.

Dr Chua completed his secondary education in Malaysia before relocating to Australia. He undertook a foundation year at Monash University, where he subsequently commenced his medical studies and graduated with his medical degree. Following his graduation, he completed his internship at a regional health service in Victoria. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Chua is passionate about medical education. He serves as a GP Supervisor, mentoring GP Registrars and Medical Students, and is recognised as a Fellow of the Department of Rural Health at the Melbourne Medical School.
