Dr Catherine Mary Bourke

Dr Catherine Mary Bourke is a dedicated and highly qualified General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong foundation in preventative healthcare, she supports individuals and families through all stages of life. Her clinical approach is characterised by a thorough, evidence-based methodology, ensuring that each patient receives personalised care tailored to their unique health goals and lifestyle. Dr Bourke has a particular interest in children's health, women's health, healthy ageing, and the management of musculoskeletal injuries.

Dr Bourke completed her medical training at the University of Western Australia, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours (MBBS (Hons)) in 2011. Prior to her medical career, she worked as a Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Science, and a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Physiotherapy from Curtin University. To further her expertise in specialised areas of medicine, she obtained a Diploma of Child Health from Sydney University and the Family Planning Alliance Australia (FPAA) National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Bourke is actively involved in medical education, clinical governance, and healthcare advocacy. She was elected to the Board of Western Australian General Practice Education and Training in November 2021 and has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course. Passionate about environmental sustainability and its impact on public health, she volunteers her time to advocate for planetary health with Doctors for the Environment Australia and is an active member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Climate and Environmental Medicine Specific Interest Group.
