Dr Carol Chong

Dr Carol Chong is a compassionate and highly skilled Consultant Geriatrician and General Physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care for older adults. She strongly believes in the power of collaborative medicine, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to help patients achieve their optimal health outcomes. Dr Chong prioritises clear, regular communication with both her patients and their families, ensuring they are fully informed and supported at every stage of their care.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Chong specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex medical conditions in older individuals. Her areas of expertise include cognitive impairment and dementia, as well as the management of Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD). She is also highly experienced in addressing falls and balance issues, vestibular medical conditions, polypharmacy, and physical reconditioning, all aimed at enhancing her patients' independence and quality of life.

Dr Chong completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with Honours at the University of Melbourne. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, demonstrating her commitment to the highest standards of medical practice. In addition to her clinical duties, she is deeply involved in medical education, dedicating her time to supervising, mentoring, and teaching Junior Doctors and Medical Interns.
