Dr Campbell Schmidt

Dr Campbell Schmidt is a highly qualified Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeon and Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgeon who specialises in diagnosing and treating a comprehensive range of paediatric and adult ear, nose, and throat conditions. With a patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to delivering reassuring, evidence-based care tailored to each individual's needs. His clinical practice encompasses general medical and surgical services alongside highly specialised interventions for complex head, neck, and facial nerve disorders.

Dr Schmidt completed his undergraduate studies, obtaining a Bachelor of Science, before earning his medical degree with first-class honours and the University Medal from the University of Queensland. He subsequently completed a Master of Philosophy during his residency. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, having completed his specialist training across several major tertiary hospitals in Queensland, including a dedicated year at a major paediatric facility. He furthered his credentials with advanced sub-speciality fellowship training in head and neck cancer in 2023, followed by a second international fellowship in microvascular reconstructive and robotic surgery of the head and neck at a renowned health sciences centre in Canada.

Throughout his career, Dr Schmidt has developed a particular interest in advanced surgical techniques, being one of only a few Queensland Head and Neck Surgeons with formal fellowship training in transoral robotic surgery. His clinical focus includes thyroid and parathyroid surgery, salivary gland pathology, and the management of benign and malignant head and neck cancers. Additionally, he is deeply committed to optimising outcomes for patients experiencing facial nerve disorders, offering specialised facial-reanimation surgery and chemodenervation therapies.
