Dr Bryan Buttery

Dr Bryan Buttery is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a broad interest in the complete range of General Practice presentations, Dr Buttery is committed to supporting the health and well-being of individuals and families at every stage of life. His clinical focus encompasses general medicine, men's health, mental health, chronic disease management, and paediatrics. Additionally, he has a keen interest in skin cancer medicine, offering thorough skin cancer checks to assist in early detection and preventative care.

Dr Buttery completed his medical degree at Adelaide University, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He went on to achieve his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1995. His early medical career provided him with a diverse foundation of clinical experience, during which he worked in emergency departments and served as a locum General Practitioner for a rural aeromedical service. This extensive background in acute and rural medicine has equipped him with the versatility and clinical acumen required to manage complex medical cases with confidence and reassurance.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Buttery is deeply passionate about medical education and shaping the future of healthcare. He has been actively involved in training the next generation of General Practitioners, serving as a Primary GP Supervisor for Registrars for many years. He finds this mentorship role both stimulating and rewarding, as it allows him to share his wealth of knowledge while staying at the forefront of modern medical advancements. Outside of his professional life, Dr Buttery is an active sportsman who has represented Australia internationally in dragon boat racing.
