Dr Bronwyn Eunice Carson

Dr Bronwyn Eunice Carson is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary healthcare to patients in Darwin. With a deep-seated belief that accessible, high-quality healthcare is a fundamental human right, she delivers patient-centred care that focuses on achieving the best possible health outcomes. Throughout her career, Dr Carson has demonstrated a profound commitment to rural and remote medicine, as well as Indigenous health. Born in East Arnhem Land, she possesses a unique understanding of the diverse healthcare challenges faced by communities in the Northern Territory. Her professional interests extend to medical education and the training of future General Practitioners, having previously served in senior leadership roles where she advocated for excellent health services in underserved areas. Her contributions to the medical community were formally recognised when she was named General Practitioner of the Year for South Australia and the Northern Territory by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Carson completed her medical training at Flinders University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2009. Committed to continuous professional development, she also earned a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education from the same institution in 2018. In addition to her medical degrees, she holds a Master of Public Health, a Bachelor of Music, and a Bachelor of Arts. Dr Carson is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting her high standards of clinical competence and dedication to the field of General Practice.
