Dr Brett Segal

Dr Brett Segal is an Anaesthetist and a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).

Dr Segal is passionate about providing patients with high-quality care during their surgical journey. They understand that undergoing surgery can be a stressful experience and are committed to making the process as comfortable and safe as possible.

Dr Segal has a special interest in anaesthesia for obstetrics, orthopaedics and ENT. They are also keenly interested in ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery).

Dr Segal graduated from St Mary's Hospital Medical School, Imperial College London in 1998 and was admitted to the Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2012. They are the Director of Anaesthesia at Mater Private Hospital Townsville and a Senior Lecturer at the College of Medicine and Dentistry at James Cook University Townsville.
