Dr Brett Fritsch is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in arthroscopic and replacement surgery of the knee. He has specific focus on sports injuries, ligament reconstruction, cartilage and meniscal pathology, and patella instability.
Dr Fritsch completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 1999 followed by his specialist orthopaedic training in Sydney. He later completed fellowship training in Sports Surgery at Duke University, North Carolina, USA and Advanced Arthroscopy at the Alps Surgical Institute in Annecy, France. Dr Fritsch also uses his background experience as an elite-level sportsman to focus on techniques that help athletes of all levels return to their physical activities.
Dr Fritsch currently holds appointments at The Mater Private Hospital and North Shore Private in the Northern Sydney area, along with Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown. He also sees patients at RPAH Medical Centre and Jointli.
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Fritsch holds professional memberships with the Australian Orthopaedic Association, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine. Additionally, he serves as a teaching surgeon at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
