Dr Boniface Chan

Dr Boniface Chan is a highly qualified Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate cardiac care. With a strong focus on patient-centred outcomes, he specialises in diagnosing and managing a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Dr Chan is particularly interested in utilising advanced diagnostic imaging and performing complex coronary interventions to help patients achieve optimal heart health and improve their quality of life.

Dr Chan obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Monash University in 1996. He completed his specialist training in internal medicine, specialising in Cardiology, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2005. Committed to academic excellence, he went on to complete a Master of Public Health, majoring in epidemiology and biostatistics, at the University of Melbourne in 2006. He subsequently undertook advanced subspecialty fellowship training in interventional cardiology at a leading health sciences centre and university in Canada, completing this in 2008. Dr Chan is a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand and holds professional memberships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Canadian Cardiovascular Society.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Chan has a strong background in cardiovascular research and drug evaluation. He has contributed to the field as a Research Fellow and has provided expert clinical reports on new cardiovascular therapies to regulatory bodies. His clinical approach is characterised by a thorough, evidence-based methodology combined with a reassuring and empathetic bedside manner. He works closely with patients and their referring General Practitioners to develop personalised treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique health needs.
