Dr Arvin Damodaran

Dr Arvin Damodaran is a highly regarded Consultant Rheumatologist and dedicated Medical Educator who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions. With a patient-centred approach, he focuses on delivering personalised treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual. Dr Damodaran is committed to helping patients manage chronic inflammatory conditions, improve their joint function, and enhance their overall quality of life.

In his clinical practice, Dr Damodaran manages diverse rheumatic diseases, including various forms of arthritis, connective tissue disorders, and complex autoimmune diseases. He combines evidence-based medicine with a compassionate, reassuring manner, ensuring that patients feel supported throughout their diagnostic and treatment journeys. Dr Damodaran graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of New South Wales in 1996. He completed his specialist training in Rheumatology and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2004. Committed to academic excellence, he also obtained a Master of Medical Education from the University of Sydney in 2006 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Education from the University of New South Wales in 2025. He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators and serves as a Senior National Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
