Dr Anthony Lembke

Dr Anthony Lembke is a highly regarded General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred primary healthcare to the community of Alstonville, Australia. With extensive experience in family medicine, he is dedicated to delivering high-quality, continuous care that supports the long-term health and well-being of his patients. His outstanding contribution to primary healthcare was nationally recognised when he was named the General Practitioner of the Year by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2012.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Lembke is a prominent leader and advocate for general practice and healthcare quality improvement across Australia. He has held several key leadership positions, including serving as the Clinical Director of the Australian Primary Care Collaboratives and the Executive Director of the Australian Centre for the Medical Home. He has also served as the Chair of the North Coast Primary Health Network and as a Director of the Australian General Practice Network. Through these roles, Dr Lembke has actively championed the integration of digital health systems, eHealth initiatives, and collaborative models of care to improve patient outcomes at local, state, and national levels.

Dr Lembke completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM). Additionally, he holds a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG), reflecting his advanced training in women's health and maternity care. He is also deeply committed to medical education, actively supporting the training and mentorship of the next generation of General Practitioners.
