Dr Anna Cunningham

Dr Anna Cunningham is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a clinical approach grounded in an individualised biopsychosocial framework, she focuses on building strong, therapeutic relationships with her patients. Dr Cunningham is committed to delivering holistic healthcare that addresses both the physical and mental well-being of individuals and families within the community.

Throughout her career, Dr Cunningham has developed diverse clinical interests, allowing her to offer specialised support across several key areas of medicine. Her primary areas of focus include mental health, women's health, child and adolescent health, and skin cancer medicine. Her extensive training enables her to address complex patient needs, ranging from routine skin checks and preventative health strategies to managing chronic pain, mood disorders, and addiction-related concerns.

Dr Cunningham graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2007, having also completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and holds a Fellowship of Advanced Rural General Practice. Demonstrating a strong commitment to advanced clinical education, she completed a Master of Psychiatric Medicine through the University of Melbourne and a Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine through the University of Queensland. Furthermore, she is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and is a qualified Addiction Medicine Specialist.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Cunningham is passionate about medical education and shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. She has served as an Associate Lecturer, supervising and teaching medical students during their rural clinical rotations. Her dedication to rural medicine and community health was recognised with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Community Project of the Year award, highlighting her commitment to improving healthcare outcomes in regional areas.
