Dr Angela Chia

Dr Angela Chia is a highly qualified Anaesthetist and Pain Medicine Specialist who is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for patients experiencing persistent pain. With a clinical focus on improving pain management in women's health, she is particularly passionate about integrating advanced interventional pain techniques into a holistic, multidisciplinary approach. Her reassuring manner and patient-centred philosophy ensure that individuals receive tailored treatment plans designed to restore their quality of life and help them regain control over their health.

Dr Chia completed her medical education at The University of Hong Kong, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2000. She undertook her specialist training across several major tertiary medical centres, gaining extensive experience as a Consultant Obstetrics Anaesthetist and Pain Specialist. She holds dual professional fellowships, being a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) and a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FFPMANZCA).

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Chia is actively involved in medical education, research, and advocacy. She has contributed to significant research projects, particularly in the field of chronic pelvic pain, and has held key teaching and supervisory roles. Demonstrating her commitment to raising awareness and improving education for healthcare providers, she has served as the President of a prominent not-for-profit pelvic pain organisation. Through collaboration with other medical Specialists and Allied Health Practitioners, she formulates complex, evidence-based management plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
