Dr. Andrew Markwick

Dr. Andrew Markwick is a dedicated Consultant Cardiologist who is committed to providing comprehensive cardiovascular care. With a primary focus on preventing heart attacks and minimising their impact, he works closely with patients to manage and reduce their lifetime risk of cardiovascular disease. As an experienced Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Markwick possesses specialised expertise in coronary interventions, including stenting and procedures for chronically occluded coronary arteries. His clinical interests also encompass general clinical cardiology, valvular heart disease, ischaemic heart disease, and the treatment of acute myocardial infarction. He is highly skilled in utilising modern radial techniques for invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as performing cardiac CT scans and cardioversions to ensure precise diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Dr. Markwick graduated with his medical degree from the University of Adelaide in 2004. Following his graduation, he completed his comprehensive specialist training in Cardiology. To further refine his skills, he relocated to the United Kingdom to complete an advanced fellowship, where he gained extensive hands-on experience in complex interventional and diagnostic procedures.
