Dr Andrew Chester

Dr Andrew Chester is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive healthcare to his patients. Dr Chester completed his medical education at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1987. Following his graduation, he completed his internship and residency at a regional hospital, where he gained valuable experience rotating through all major medical departments. He subsequently travelled to the United Kingdom to complete an anaesthetic rotation, before returning to Australia to complete his Fellowship training in General Practice in 1995.

Throughout his career in private General Practice, Dr Chester has developed a broad range of clinical interests. He has extensive experience in geriatric care, neurolept anaesthetics, and all facets of general family medicine. His practice encompasses chronic disease management, preventative health, and mental health support. Dr Chester is passionate about helping his patients make positive, lasting changes to their health, and he enjoys working collaboratively with patients and healthcare staff alike to achieve the best possible outcomes.
