Dr Anand Trivedi

Dr Anand Trivedi is a highly skilled Specialist General Surgeon and Acute Care Surgeon who provides comprehensive, patient-centred surgical care. With a commitment to delivering individualised and consistent treatment, he focuses on ensuring that every patient receives high-quality care tailored to their unique medical needs. Dr Trivedi is dedicated to clinical excellence, combining advanced surgical techniques with a reassuring and professional approach to support patients throughout their surgical journey, from initial consultation to complete recovery.

As a Specialist General Surgeon, Dr Trivedi has a diverse range of clinical interests, with a primary focus on complex hernia management and abdominal wall reconstruction. His expertise extends to emergency general surgery, acute gall bladder operations, and laparoscopic transcystic bile duct exploration. He is also highly passionate about perioperative nutrition, particularly in optimising the nutritional health of surgical patients before and after procedures. Additionally, Dr Trivedi is dedicated to the management of acute surgical issues in older adults and the care of critically unwell surgical patients, while actively exploring surgical innovation and the integration of virtual reality in surgical practices.

Dr Trivedi completed his initial medical and surgical training in India, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery. Upon relocating to Australia, he undertook advanced post-fellowship training in acute care surgery at major teaching hospitals. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), reflecting his high standards of surgical competence. Dr Trivedi is an active member of the Australian Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (AusPEN). Alongside his clinical practice, he contributes significantly to the medical community as a Senior Lecturer and a convener of surgical training programmes, helping to educate and mentor the next generation of Surgical Trainees.
