Dr Ana Licina

Dr Ana Licina is an anaesthetist. They aim to contact patients prior to their procedure to discuss their aims and goals, along with the surgical needs for their period of care. They will discuss the peri-operative process and the role of anaesthesia, and answer any questions the patient may have.

Dr Licina obtained their medical degree in New Zealand and spent time working in Intensive Care in Sydney. During this time, they were involved in the care of heart and lung transplant patients. Their anaesthetic training was obtained in Perth, where they pursued their interest in anaesthesia for complex adult surgery, trauma and maxillofacial surgery. They spent time in cardiothoracic anaesthesia and acquired echo skills.

Dr Licina has also spent time in further fellowship training in Obstetric Anaesthesia and continues to use those skills. They have worked in a quaternary neurosurgical centre with an innovative and highly professional neurosurgical team. This has resulted in professional collaboration and a number of publications in Enhanced Recovery in Patients undergoing Surgery of the Spine.
