Dr Amaryah Paul

Dr Amaryah Paul is a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist who specialises in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, while also providing comprehensive care to adult patients. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, Dr Paul is committed to supporting individuals and families navigating complex mental health challenges. Her clinical expertise spans a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions, including organic presentations such as schizophrenia and bipolar affective disorder, as well as anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, and eating disorders. She also possesses valuable experience in infant mental health and family-based interventions.

Believing in a holistic and tailored approach to mental health, Dr Paul has undertaken extensive training in a diverse range of evidence-based psychotherapies. She is skilled in delivering specialised modalities such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Maudsley Family Based Therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Additionally, her therapeutic toolkit includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, and family therapy. Dr Paul completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne, where she also obtained a Master of Psychiatry. She undertook her specialist psychiatric training in Melbourne, followed by advanced training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr Paul is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and holds a Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Highly regarded in her field, she also serves as an accredited supervisor, dedicating her time to teaching and mentoring the next generation of psychiatric registrars.
