Dr Alistair Cook is a highly dedicated Respiratory Physician who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of lung and breathing disorders. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, he specialises in diagnosing and managing both general and complex respiratory conditions. Dr Cook is committed to delivering evidence-based, personalised treatment plans that help patients achieve optimal lung health and improve their overall quality of life.

His clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of thoracic medicine, with particular expertise in difficult and severe asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and the investigation of lung cancer. Dr Cook is highly skilled in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS). His deep clinical interest in airway diseases drives his commitment to finding effective solutions for patients with challenging respiratory symptoms.

Dr Cook obtained his medical degree from the University of Queensland and completed his specialist respiratory training at major hospitals in Queensland. To further refine his expertise, he undertook advanced post-fellowship training, completing a fellowship in severe asthma at a leading tertiary hospital in New South Wales, followed by a fellowship in interventional bronchoscopy at a prominent Brisbane hospital. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Cook is actively involved in medical research and is currently undertaking a PhD investigating asthma attacks in patients receiving advanced asthma treatments, ensuring his practice remains at the forefront of modern respiratory medicine.
