Dr Alison Roberts

Dr Alison Roberts is a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist who provides compassionate, patient-centred care. She specialises in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions, working collaboratively with individuals to support their mental well-being. Dr Roberts is committed to delivering evidence-based psychiatric care, utilising a supportive and reassuring approach to help patients navigate their mental health journeys.

With a broad range of clinical expertise, Dr Roberts has a particular interest in supporting adults experiencing complex mental health challenges. Her areas of clinical focus include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorders, and mood disorders such as Depression and Anxiety disorders. Additionally, she provides expert management for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders and Personality disorders, offering tailored treatment plans that may incorporate supportive psychotherapy to promote long-term recovery and resilience.

Dr Roberts obtained her initial medical degree from James Cook University in 2008. Following her medical graduation, she completed extensive postgraduate training, including her internship and residency within medical specialty teams. She entered specialist psychiatry training in 2012, gaining comprehensive experience across various psychiatric settings. Dr Roberts is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), reflecting her commitment to the highest standards of psychiatric practice.

To ensure accessibility and convenience for her patients, Dr Roberts conducts her consultations via telepsychiatry.
