Dr Alison Lam

Dr Alison Lam is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who focuses on Palliative Medicine. She is committed to providing holistic, patient-centred care that supports individuals and their families through complex health journeys. By combining her broad expertise as a General Practitioner with a reassuring and empathetic approach, Dr Lam ensures that patients receive comprehensive support tailored to their physical, emotional, and social needs.

In her clinical practice, Dr Lam focuses on a wide range of medical areas, with a particular interest in chronic disease management and palliative care. She believes in empowering patients through clear communication and collaborative decision-making, helping them navigate difficult diagnoses with dignity and comfort. Her diverse clinical skillset also encompasses paediatric health, general dermatology, and skin cancer medicine, allowing her to address multifaceted health concerns. Additionally, she is skilled in performing procedures such as iron infusions and Implanon insertion and removal, and has completed training in acupuncture to offer well-rounded care options.

Dr Lam completed her medical training at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2013. She went on to achieve her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2018. Demonstrating a strong commitment to continuous professional development, she also holds a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science in Radiation Therapy, a Diploma in Child Health, and postgraduate certificates in Clinical Occupational Medicine, General Dermatology, Skin Cancer Surgery, and Skin Care Medicine. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and remains actively involved in medical education as a Tutor for medical students.
