Dr Alex Shuen

Dr Alex Shuen is a compassionate and dedicated General Practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality primary care to individuals and families. With a patient-centred philosophy, he focuses on providing comprehensive medical care that supports both immediate health needs and preventative wellness. Dr Shuen prioritises open communication and collaborative decision-making, ensuring that every patient feels heard, respected, and reassured throughout their medical journey.

Dr Shuen completed his medical education at Monash University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He subsequently undertook his junior years as a Medical Practitioner within a prominent health service in Victoria, gaining invaluable experience across a diverse range of medical specialties. Demonstrating his commitment to clinical excellence, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2021.

With a broad scope of practice, Dr Shuen has developed key clinical interests in general medicine, chronic disease management, and preventative health. He is particularly passionate about supporting patients with diabetes management and weight loss strategies. Additionally, Dr Shuen provides specialised care in women's health, sexual and reproductive health, and family planning, which includes the insertion and removal of Implanon and intrauterine devices (IUDs). He also offers dedicated guidance for expectant and new mothers, addressing family health needs such as breastfeeding support and managing infant colic.
